Homemade Italian Sausage

Here is an easy but delicious homemade Italian sausage recipe. It has the aroma of Italian herbs and garlic. Just mix it together and let it sit in the refrigerator for a day, and it becomes a wonderful, flavorful Italian sausage. It is very versatile; there are so many recipes you can make with this sausage.

Homemade Italian Sausage

Inactive time: 24 hours


Makes 6 to 8 servings


1 lb ground pork
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp dried basil
½ tsp dried rosemary
½ tsp dried oregano
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
½ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
1 tbsp white wine
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese


Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Knead until flecks of spice are evenly distributed through the sausage. Store in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
